Installation of your HughesNet Satellite Internet Broadband Service

Standard installation is included with all HughesNet plans*. A professional certified installer will schedule installation at a time that is convenient for you. On your appointment day, the installer will bring all equipment needed to get you started.

Included Equipment:

• HughesNet Modem
• HughesNet Satellite Antenna
• Coaxial Cable Jack
• Two RG-6 Coaxial Cables
• Mounting Hardware
• Ethernet Cable

Installation Process

• The HughesNet Satellite Antenna is mounted and grounded at an approved location. Antenna are mounted a minimum of 5 feet from the ground and must be accessible by a 25-foot ladder.
• The coaxial cable jack is installed near the computer and a hole is drilled for exterior cable entry.
• The two exterior RG-6 coaxial cables are routed from the antenna to the cable jack.
• Cables, wall penetrations and mounting locations are weather sealed or grounded where appropriate.
• Installer detects signal and activates customer's HughesNet account.

*Custom installations, including the addition of moldings or cosmetic hardware, removal of previously mounted equipment, or mounting to structures taller than one story is not included in your HughesNet installation.
